What makes cotton "premium"?
Premium cotton comes down to three things: fibre length, weight, and finish.
- Fibre length — Longer fibres (like those found in combed or ring-spun cotton) produce a smoother, stronger yarn. Shorter fibres create a rougher texture that breaks down faster.
- GSM (grams per square metre) — A higher GSM means a heavier, more substantial fabric. Our pieces sit in the 220–280 GSM range — heavy enough to drape beautifully, light enough for UAE weather.
- Finish — How the fabric is treated after weaving affects softness and breathability. We use pre-washed cotton so what you feel in the store is exactly what you'll feel after 50 washes.
Why it matters for oversized fits
An oversized silhouette only looks intentional when the fabric has structure. Thin, low-quality cotton collapses — it clings in the wrong places and loses its shape after a few wears. Premium cotton holds its form, drapes cleanly off the shoulders, and keeps that relaxed-but-intentional look you're going for.
